Scared of making the wrong choice

hey there guys, i am in a bit of a situation at the moment, i am wanting to buy a decent Ibanez, i have 2 guitars in mind of buying with 2 different price tags.

first off there is the Ibanez RG570 (cheapest)

then there is the Ibanez S540FM (most espensive R3000 more than the RG)

Except for the width of the guitar and the inlays, what are the main differences? and which would be the better one to get?

i would probably replace the pickups in both and also would like your opinion on a set for the guitars. I play hard rock/ very riff orientated tunes so need a nice fat sound but also need a good clean tone as well if i have to do the lame slow tunes aswell.

i heard that the Dimarzio Tone Zone, True Velvet & Air Norton's combo is cool, also looking at maybe getting Bare Knuckle Miricle Men. anyone have these in their ibanez and how are they sounding?

iirc.. right off the bat the rg has 24 frets and the s as 22... neck profiles are similar in my opinion although the s is slightly shorter scale. please dont take my word as gospel...
this is as far as i can remember..

then rg is flat top. s is carved / arch top so there are diff feels too. s body is quite thin compared to the rg

Dude, both those guitars are pretty killer. they look like they both have an ibanez edge/lo pro edge bridge which is fantastic, and they also both look like they dont have stock pickups. the 570 looks like it has dimarzios (something like a d-sonic and a tone zone or whatever) not too sure about the s series. Id personally go for the 570 because it will be easier to play and practice with, because those s series are too thin for me and are difficult to sit with (its just me) But the S definately has a higher eye candy rating. At the end of the day, play them and see which sounds better for you. Both of them are pretty rare finds these days so i dont think you can go wrong either way ?
