I dont own any hardtail Strats but I have 3 MIJ strats with trems, and they are all great guitars, excellent build quality and really good sound (and all three have a different sound & feel). Pricewise, I guess would depend on the condition. Is it in 100% original condition? pups changed? any dings, cracks or bad scratches? Does it have a rosewood or maple neck? Does it come with a hard case? Rough guide IMO would be upwards of R5000, but the market right now seems bad for selling guitars so if you can pick one up for less than 5k it may be a good deal.

never played a jap hardtail strat, But I have played jap guitar (fender) and Hardtail strats (Fender).. both were great........ I would really like a hardtail strat as I dont use the trem on strats..... Idont like it much........ and jap guitars minus the pups sometimes are great quality..........
as mentioned between 5k and 10k no more, but hope for less
