ESI MIDI Mate Interface cable

Anyone know whether the ESI MIDI mate cable would work OK with something like the Behringer FCB1010?

I already have an audio interface, but with no MIDI input. Don't really want to buy a new audio interface, so I'm thinking that the combination of this cable/interface and the FCB1010 would be OK for Guitar Rig, if the cable works.

I've never used the MIDI Mate, but ESI interfaces are usually pretty reliable and work as advertised, so I wouldn't worry about it.
