Beginner/Intermediate Electric Guitar Kit

Hi, I already have beginner acoustic guitar and I can play quite a few songs but I want to start some rock stuff now. So I am looking for a good beginner/intermediate electric guitar set (guitar, decent amp etc...). So I was looking and I found this: www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/28040090/ELECTRIC_GUITAR_AMPLIFIER_GUITAR_BAG_CD_BRAND_NEW.html I couldn't find it anywhere on the internet (not even Telefunken's website). So is this guitar and amp any good? The company seems to have gotten good reviews? If not what is a good kit for a resonable price (R1000 to R2500)? Thanks in advance

I can vouch for flatfourfan, seen the guitar and amp in question and both are in great condition.

oh, edit* the stickers on the guit are gone and the finish is quite nice really, great wood grain

Yeah. It looks like a good deal.

One of the advantages of buying through a forum like this is that long-time members have a reputation to maintain in front of the whole community. In other words, if you rip people off, your name is mud, and you'll have serious trouble trying to sell anything through the forum again. It's not unusual for members to buy stuff and have it sent through the mail from other members - and so far I haven't read about someone being mislead.

But yes. That guitar amp combo looks nice, the price is right, Ibanez is generally a pretty reliable brand. So check it out, and if you know someone you trust who knows electric guitars, there's nothing wrong with taking them along for reassurance.
