MP3 Editor Freeware
DonRoos
I have a DVD of our band from our last gig and am trying to extract an MP3. I have managed to RIP the VOB files and extract the audio into MP3 format. Unfortunately, songs are all in a few VOB files and even span files so cutting the audio int tracks is proving to be quite difficult.
I need to be able to join the MP3's and then split the resultant full track into individual songs, all at acceptable HiFi quality. I have found several 'Free' editors but most are NOT free. One appears in several different incarnations on several sites (displays red/green progress bar) and most will only export WAV files so this does not work for me. Please help!

edit as wav and then convert to mp3 later. Audacity should help. have you tried that?

+1. You should do all your editing as Wav files and only convert to mp3 as your final step. The reason for this is MP3 is a compressed format that is "lossy", so every time you save a change, you lose quality.
