Gobson Robot guitar

Gibson is bringing out a guitar that tunes itself. It even sets the intonation after you change the strings.

It comes pre-programed with many different tunings. With a single push of a button you switch from one tuning to the next.

Wonder how long it would take for SA to see this on the shop floor.

So have you seen one? Played it?

The technology belongs to a German company called Tronical, Gibson just licensed it. It was designed as a retrofit and was available a year ago already. It struck me than as a solution in search of a problem and still does.

I shouldn't rant, but I'm tired of Gibson spending more on marketing than they do on R&D or quality control.
