Actually, appearance wise it looks more like Japanese or Russian guitars from the '60s.

Gibson has recently unveiled plans to release what they herald as being a revolution in guitaring, it is the Firebird-X and the idea is so stupid that even Gibson fanbois have nothing good to say about it ?

Seriously. Gibson could haul their ass out of the fire in two months. But as long as that idiot is running it, their reputation as a contemporary guitar manufacturer will continue to slip. Even apologists for the crappy corporate decision making are backing off from this one.

It's almost like you gave a piece of paper to a 5 year old, said, "Draw me an electric guitar," and then put it straight into production.

Vox, on the other hand, hired Rich Lazner and created elegant, quirky guitars that will only continue to garner more praise over time. Gibson could have done that too. If they weren't run by a megalomaniac that is.

talking of guitar brands that are getting better, Italia...... I would soon enough by some quirky guitar from them.... they sound pretty mice to ")

Wow, it must have been many years since gibson produced that(they got sued by fender and then they "reversed" the body,to create the fire bird we know today...)

I really have a soft spot for
FB's, but yea....this is kinda out there,in the wrong direction IMO...

But I'd love to hear how it sounds...really,maybe there's hope ?

ITs all just a bit weird.. like those dumb parker fly guitars, with a whole 300 guitars in them..... why not just gte one that sounds good.. peice of wood plus pickups, everything is just overcomplicated
