You mean the ability to play in a room with earsplitting volume for proper amp/guitar interraction?
haha. i use guitar rig at home, but at studio i have to use with what i can do.
i might have a look at amplitude sometime, a friend told me it apparently better than a valve amp ? will have check it out for myself.
Something tells me I've just created a monster! The only problem with that is once you go that way, you really start wanting to run stereo at gigs, which makes for a cumbersome rig.
i am pretty much a plug and play person at gigs. dont worry to much about anything, as long as my guitar is in tune i'm happy, and my amp sounds good i'll be OK.
oh by the way the sound that i wanted , was kind of a ramstein meets 70's sound on a single coil custom shop strat. i got it by running one signal into the marshall JCM800 Slash, with a pretty standard high gain setting mic up with a SM57 just of centre(4x12''), and the second signal into the peavey delta blues(15'') with a very punchy rock n roll sound mic up with a vintage Electro voice mic(cant remember the model name, but its good for lower mids). together it gave a very wide sound and full sound
