makepeace hmmm.. i came across this today. http://www.terryd.co.za/mxj001n.html would one of these be worth anything? just for mucking around and whatnot, a campfire guitar if you will. a waste? linden is basswood right? and catalpa?
makepeace hmmm. i don't know man. marcus mumford plays a guitar that size... i've definitely seen them before. its a "mini jumbo" - or a triple "O" guitar. edit: actually don't quote me on the triple "O" part..
guitarboy2828 Hmm.. I tend to agree with Don on this.. While you are right, the 000 range is used by many as it is very close to the OM sized guitar, it is very nicely suited for fingerstyle guitar. However, cheap guitars are often made in this size too because it's small for kids to get their arms around it, as opposed to a dreadnought which is huge. I have a feeling this is going to be a cheapy and it won't sound too good, but go play it and see what you think.
AlanRatcliffe It's a full scale guitar (648mm is a 25.5" scale length), but what I've seen of Maxwell in the past (admittedly a few years ago), they are the cheapest beginner's guitars - the entry level things that pop up in the stores for Xmas. In my experience, the steels usually have a life expectancy of only a year.
