I certainly hope they never, ever issue those as production models. I have enough RGs and I'd have a hard time resisting those. ?
So they are LA Custom Shop guitars, didn't think they'd carry the Prestige mark. That's kind of an insult LOL, they're the highest you can go in Ibanez, I mean they're far more exclusive than even J Customs.
PS - damn I hate that phrase superstrat. A mortal insult if you ask me. Call my Universe a Strat, gmmf. *spit* ? (Not you, the ignoramus who invented that term in the first place.)
I'd also need to get one, cause damn they are pretty. Mainly though cause I'm sick of Ibanez only ever releasing guitars in black and having a reversed headstock, flamed maple 7-string would put a big smile on my face ?
To be honest if I were ever lucky enough to be Ibanez endorsed I'd ask for all the guitars to be Japanese made, I don't think Americans build guitars that are in the same league. The issue that Japanese guitars have is that everyone follows America too much so of course they think that guitars made there must be superior, and they don't really get contracted to use the best woods when they make guitars but I'm sure the J-customs have decent wood. In fact if Ibanez opened a custom shop that was available to the public I'd be quite alright with paying extra to make sure the guitar was made in Japan and not America.
Yeah the superstrat thing is annoying, but they are essentially a modified strat shape, albeit for the better ? It's just the easiest way to clear up confusion about the general design - afterall most people don't really understand when you just refer to them as "sexy beasts" ?
