Yeah it was a bargain all right! BTW "Valvestate" is a brand name used by Marshall for their hybrid range of amps that have a single valve based preamp and solid state (transistor) amplification. Your amp is pure valve ?
Your amp is ready and the impedance selector switch works great! BTW there was a problem with the bias circuit. Someone had changed a resistor and the bias was set way too cold. I sorted it out and you will be surprised when you hear the difference now that she is properly biased!
The master volume pot that was added works ok allowing you to drive the preamp hard and keep the volume down, although she sings a lot better if you turn the master to full (identical to stock unit) and turn up the preamp volume. Hard on the ears though!
