Anyone help identify my IBANEZ SA Series?
tommypatt
Hi all,
I've seen a few similar topics about people needing help identifying their Ibanez SA series and I need the same.
No photo yet, but I'll describe as best I can.
It's approx 10 years old - 2 single coil, 1 humbucker pick ups, 5 way selector switch. 1 volume and 1 tone, but NO coil tap.
The finish is a sort of solid purple/lilac colour on the body, with a black head stock. On the back of the headstock along with the serial number it says it's made in Japan.
I think it might be an SA160 because of the black headstock, pick-up config and no coil-tap but not sure. Also all other 160's Ive seen are made in Korea, so is it possible for Japanese versions as well, especially if it's approx 10-11 years old?
Lastly does anyone know what it might be worth? I paid GBP approx £400 about 10 years ago new from a shop, and it's still in excellent condition apart from 1 minor mark.
Any help would be mega appreciated!

Does it look like this?
If so then it is a SA160. Made during 2000.
