EDIT: I am a mechanical engineer. I have some comments to make regarding resonance theory and stress/strain that I feel should be covered to understand the implications of what is said in video two, including some things that the luthier does not seem to be taking into account, such as string tension that creates localized stress concentrations in the wood that will modify the natural (or resonant) frequencies and the fact that certain modes of resonant frequencies exist. Also, the inherent stiffness of the top will change depending on the string tension. But I do not wish to take anything away from what is clearly an extremely skilled craftsman! I will elaborate when all my university work is done ?

I have been a big fan and regularly visit his website.
Ervin creates what dreams are made of.
