Marshall MG 102 FX - removing amp from cab !

Hoi
My mate's bringing round his amp with a scratchy master volume pot . . . . now that's not the problem ! . . . he can't remove the amp section from the cabinet ???
I've checked online, but the only info on this is that there are 6 screws to remove and then the amp slides backwards out the cab. One guy stated that after the screws, he found that the amp section had been glued into the cab, and he had to use a butter knife to crack the glue before it would come out ??
This seems different from other amps I've worked on, where the handle screws also hold the amp in place.

Any ideas? I don't have the amp yet, but I'd like to be prepared when i get it!

Sounds like they put the amp chassis in while the glue is still squeezing out the joins. I doubt it's glued in on purpose. Probably the only solution is the application of some brute force.

Yup !
took the 6 screws out, gave a swift "thwack" to each side of the chassis, and there she came! It was just the spongey tape they stuck on the chassis that had folded over and stuck to the cab.
