Guitar Idol 2010 - Chris Geden - Please vote

Hi Everybody

It's been a while since I posted anything on here, mainly because I haven't had anything to post. I've recently entered Guitar Idol 2010 and would like you to check out the video and rate it....with a ten! ?

I'm not sure what the prizes are but it would be nice for someone from SA to win something internationally recognised.

Chris, I thought your entry was great. Fantastic playing and a clean sound. I'm going to listen to the other entries before committing myself to a vote though.

1.) cool video, very well filmed (the song is great too, but the quality if the video impressed me more)
2.) you HAVE to post here more cos that tone is flipping amazing. Tell us how you did it
3.) guitar face is better than no face ?

Thanks very much! Here's how we did it:

We used 2 Canon 7D DSLR cameras, fitted with L - lenses (1 on a tripod and the other handheld)
The amp was a Fender Deluxe with an overdrive pedal (I can't remember which one though) miked up with an SM 57 into a Digi 003 desk, running through Pro Tools.
Everything was edited in Adobe Premier Pro CS5

I don't have much of a guitar face though ?

Now I understand - you're in good company - there are some excellent guitarists there. I wonder where all of you will end up. Hobbyists, semipros, pros, name bands, session guitarists? Where do you want to go?

Awesome Chris.........that tone is simply amazing!

You mentioned that you used a Fender Deluxe amp........I see a Marshall behind you. You certainly have good choice of gear!!!

Thanks for the comment about the tone ? I wish it was my gear though ? I used to have loads of gear, now I only have one combo and some effects. I was recording in my friends studio.
