Wood and Boyd are probably best remembered these days for Nick Drake's albums. Wood recorded all three, and Boyd produced the first two and also signed and managed Drake. However they did a lot more - the first Pink Floyd recordings, Fairport Convention, The Incredible String Band, The Blue Notes, the early John Martyn albums and... and.. and...

It's centered around the Drake albums, but it touches on wider points too. I found it especially interesting because many of the albums that Boyd and Wood did together were done on 4 or 8 track equipment and under conditions that wouldn't be too common these days. So note Wood's comments about how they had to decide on which instruments would go onto which track. Also interesting to me were the observations about micing Drake up in the studio and how they dealt with the bleed between the vocal and guitar mics.
