Hi! Really impressed with the tracks on there.. I mean, really-really-really impressed! The new blues track is brilliant, but the same goes for all the old stuff as well.
Would love to see what you could do in a band situation. (with vocals and the like)
How long have you been playing, if its alright to ask?
strange though.. I don't see Polar Threat on the myspace site.
andrewjbryson
ahh thanx bro appreciate it
i started playing when I was 12, Im 23 now
so its been just over 11 years i think, something like that
Polar Threat is still processing, dam ....
should be up soon though
Manfred-Klose
Only listened to moon blues, polar threat isn't there.
Did you use guitar rig, i'm asking because there is a digital hum in the quite passages?
Dont know if its just me?
The drums is well balanced , and kindof sounds realistic.
andrewjbryson
yea there is quite a noticable hum there...
this happens when my guitar is too close to my Pc's monitor
it helps when i turn it off, but obviously forgot to do so... this time ?
AlanRatcliffe
Great as always Andrew.
Time to get yourself an LCD monitor. Made a huge difference to noise in my studio when I upgraded my CRTs to LCDs.
andrewjbryson
hmmmm LCD's never even thought of that....
everytime I lay down some guitar, its almost automatic that I turn off the monitor,
what a mission, especially when doubling up tracks
yea i should really think of getting one

Listened to Moon Blues, I really like it!
For MP3's have a look here
http://www.guitarforum.co.za/guitar-sites/box-net/ some of us have been using it for a while now.

Moon Blues - Great stuff - Well balanced sensitive playing - I like - I like a lot ?
Vintage-Vibe
4 Andrew:
Great stuff !
1 of the nicest guitar tones I've heard on this forum's recordings !
Influences are clear, but nothing cheaply cribbed !
Like your melodic ideas - nice and fresh in this country !
A Satch blues/rock/instrumental influence ?
Did you use the maple neck Strat in your MS photo ?
What was your signal path for recording ?
Do u normally play instrumentally like this or in a band with vox at all ?

Thanx VV , ReneSongs and Fritz
VV :
I just went straight from my GT8 (Left / Mono) Output , into my onboard soundcard on my PC
I used a Ibanez JS100 with Pearly Gates / FRED combo....
The guitar in my photo is a cheap Yamaha Pacifica that I pimped out
(SD - Quarter pounder , Dimarzio HS-2 , Dimarzio SuperDistortion) ,
Not the greatest guitar , but getting some sweet tones out of it.
I used to play for a band called "Curious George" ,
We recorded an album in FishHoek with Paris Lucas back in 2000
but ya nowadays , its all about guitar music for me....

Way cool bro! ? Keep it up. When you get down here in CPT again sometime, we've got to trade some licks 8)

Arjun : Im planning on moving to Cape Town next year ,
so hopefully then I can join you and Guy for the
"Saturday afternoon Jam sessions" ?
also, having Marshall Music and Bothners nearby is a blessing,
all we got in PE is MusiekLand and Tempo... East London has Lee Gold Music which is a pretty sweet shop
Thanks to everyone for the comments,
I play these tracks to my buddies and they all like " ahh its cool , but where's the singing"
ya... haha
