Anyone have experiences with a 7.25 fretboard radius on a strat? Like it/don't like it?
Care to comment on the fretting out issue?
Anyone have one I can come round and try? ?
I'm looking into getting a Fender Japan '62 strat (ST62-tx) which has a 7.25 radius... anyone know these guitars?
Thanks!

I have owned and played a 7.25 and it's not a problem if you don't insist on a low action. It's actually quite nice and comfy on the left hand for chords, especially up in the first position. Having said that, the modern 9.5 is the best balance between comfort and playability for a fixed radius. I've been toying with getting a USACG 7.25 - 9.5" conical radius neck sometime.

I have a 1984-1997 (serial puts it somewhere there) '62 reissue jap strat. It is an awesome guitar and is at this moment my number one guitar. As far as the neck goes, I agree with what Alan says.
I find that when you play alot of lead and want to do a bit of string bending though its not perfect. I have played quite a lot of different strat's and so far the best I have played (in terms of playability on the neck) was a clapton customshop with soft V neck and a 9.5" fretboard radius. But then again it all comes down to personal preference so def find one and give it a try...
