I built a set of
Vifa Basis speakers for my mother about a decade ago; she has a habit of playing classical music at proper concert strength. No problem with her equipment, but we were worried that the sound might carry to the neighbors; they share the side walls of the living. The houses are built out of wood (!) and have double glazing. Turns out they do hear something, through the windows. Not at night when the curtains are closed, but just a little when they are open.
