here is my guitar i tired to make its a bit lame maybe haha but i dont know anything about making them, i wired the guitar up to a pick up and it worked but with not such a great sound haha. anyone know if its possible to buy frets to put in or some cheap alternative.

Frets are the cheap alternative - the fretwire itself isn't expensive (under R100). When you get a fretjob, it's the labour you pay for.

As a matter of interest, what scale length is the guitar? Does the neck have a trussrod?

Wow for your 1st home made guitar I came out good, seeing that you slammed some wood together and shaped a guitar out of it.

Go look for some tutorials on the internet on guitar building, it might help.

One of my crazy friends made home made fretwire with a soldering iron, do not know how did it but it kind of worked, He also did something similar to what you did.

Experiment with some stuff lying around the house, or you can go buy fretwire at your local guitar shop.

The best way to learn these things is to research and experiment.

And back to alan's qeustion:
Did you install a truss rod?
Scale lenght of guitar?

its the same scale as a ibanez RG cause i i copied the body of my old squire then i solid it and then i bought my ibanez and only had that to work off so its kind of a mix but the nexk i made go really deep into the neck so it 24th fret would stop further up. and i didnt put a truss in haha. but it hold a 52 gauge of strings and doesnt bend. but i dunno how long it will last. I made the thing just cause i was bored. i was accuatlly just going to hang it on my wall as a fake thing, but now its really got me, and i want to try make something real next time with some better woods.
