The hum is how I know my amp is on and everything is working. ? I get worried if I don't hear it...
I suppose the noiseless people also want record players that don't make all the scratchy sounds? :? To me that's the whole point of those Bakelite coasters, otherwise just use CD's.
Embrace the noise, it adds character. When you hear that hum on high gain before a guitarist starts playing you know something big is about to happen and when he ends the song the remaining hum is the cue for the fans to nod in approval.... ?
