Your dream guitar

Hey guys A thread on another forum (And needing to study) got me thinking about this. If you could only have one guitar, what would it be? What'd be special about it? Why? This would be really tough for me because my I already have a bunch of guitars.

No prob Aja ?

Just saying here - making sure we're all on the right topic.

My dream guitar is a Fender VG Stratocaster, because of the built in Roland effects pickup.
can switch between standard strat, modelled strat, telecaster, humbucker and acoustic sounds!

Well, this guitar was DISCONTINUED by Fender as fast as it came on the market!!!! IMO, the biggest piece of crap Fender ever put on the market, it just did not do what it was supposed to do........ >☹

I had one for a week, and got rid of it, fortunately got my money back.......... ?

Hmm, I'm pretty happy with my PRS Cu 22... ?

I know it's perfect for me because whenever I pick it up I find some new sound or trick and I've yet to have a day when I hate the sounds I make on it.

Whats interesting is that sometimes it sounds very round and full and mellow,
other times its a bit hotter, scratchy even (on the same amp and pickup settings).

I know it's probably just my ears at that time but it always seems as though that guitar has moods.

I like that, like it has a personality of it's own. ?

I genuinly would just like a few nice vintage or vintage ri strats, and jazzmasters, maybe one es335......... really thats about all i would ever use........

I dont need my guitars to look like space ships, and have a switchable calculator, with 50 different languages, and a sword hidden in the neck.

An interesting spin to the question.
Do you already own your dream guitar?

dee

Mine would be a thin skinned, 2 Tone Sunburst Fender Stratocaster with maple neck. HSH configuration.

Pretty much. I'd use my Les Paul with P90s and bigsby as my trademark in the singemonkey-is-god scenario. But I might have it remade because that one is too heavy to use every night. I'd get it remade and specify that it has to be under 4.5kg.

Also, I don't really see my being a famous guitar player leading to me playing fewer guitars.

I mean, c'mon... :?

Aaah, o.k. In that case, a vintage fender strat. Naturally worn and aged, drenched in mojo and personality. Something like Rory Gallaghers strat, or Clapton's Brownie.

ESP LDT Deluxe , just have to somehow get hold of Kirk Hammet's fingers. ?

Easy - Ibanez Universe. Plays like a dream, HSH configuration is very versatile, awesome clean sounds, awesome heavy sounds, 7 strings to cater for every occasion. In fact I only had that one guitar for most of my guitaring life. (Lately I notice five guitars somehow ended up in my house... dunno how that happened ? )

Ok I'd need a bass too.

Dream guitar: Suhr Guthrie Govan Signature (with bolt-on Neck).
