Ok, so i've been practicing like crazy, and i'm getting a little better ?
Now, I have a MIM fender HSS strat. Is the guitar worth upgrading? I play some blues rock and sometimes a little metal.
Thanks guys...

It's worth upgrading but in all seriousness your ears probably aren't that discerning just yet.
My suggestion is always to save up for a decent amp (preferably tube based). You will barely even hear pup differences on a crappy amp..
If you really HAVE to get new ones, look at the toneriders. I'd recommend 2x middle City Limits with an A4 bridge.

+1 get a goooood amp.

Thanks guys, makes a lot of sense...
Now to know what amp to save up for.... Any suggestions?
Gearhead
All tube, 18W or less and second hand 8)

It's tough :/ I'd say look at the Peavy Classic 30 because it has loads of tones in there and is pretty cheap. But it's also VERY loud.

Your life is not complete until you have swapped out the stock Fender humbucker for a Dimarzio Super Distortion. ?
But like the others said, no need to change the pickups just yet. Save up a bit till you really now what you want from a pickup.

Thanks for the replys guys! Will start doing research and saving up....
Until I have the cash for an amp, can anybody recommend good tech in the potch/klerksdorp area? Would like to have the guitar set up.
Well, back to practicing scales, still have 350 to go for today :-[
