New from Vox... going to wait till these come in and get my ears on one to see if it'll be any good.

Hmmmmm, keen to see how they do the output in this. It's a dual triode so either they'll be running it in some form of mutant pentode (Which is doable) or push pull triodes (Which doesn't sound THAT good).

Interesting anyway ?

Its not even here yet... How do you know what it is going to cost? if you do have inside info, swing it here.
It will be a lot less than the 15w Night Train, which I already feel is a great little amp and not expensive at all.

I think it will be priced just above the AC4.

Marshall app. will do the Night Train + matched cab for around R6k I think. Really reasonable.

I've designed some low output amps, would love to try em just don't have the cash. Thing is a triode (usually preamp tube) doesn't respond like a pentode (output tube). But you can get "mini" pentodes ? so you get the tone without having to crank the vol.

I will have to let my ears make a verdict when it comes in.. I thought it might be a cool little amp to have if you up and down like me.

Well VOX managed to do some remarkable things with the 15W Night Train, so if this amp is modelled on the succes of the big brother then I think we're looking at a serious little 2 watter!!

And the AC4 is a mighty little thing itself, so I think they know what they are doing when it comes to installing dynamite into small packages. ?

I dont have insider info if thats what you mean but word on the street is +- 450 dollahs for the head an v110 cab ....so a rough calculation puts it at about 5k our price more or less ....thats a lot of moolah in anyones terms

Edit : MSRP = 650 $ btw

Edit numero deux: Just checked ,in uk cost is 240 quid and about 300 euro in europe. price of 5k aint off the mark by too much

It might then be worthwhile to just save up a bit more and get the 15W big brother...

I'm sure that it's still going to be a very cool little amp that can pack a decent punch! ?
