No more band

So the band broke up bec they are to busy with there jobs and wives/girlfriends :'(

Now I have to find a new band and it really has upset me.

new bands give you the chance to rectify the suckiest parts of the old ones..... in my case its always the members......... its also always an improvement on the old

That really sucks man. Sorry to hear it.

Still, as MIKA says, now it's time to move onto number two which will probably be better than number one.

Maybe there's another member who feels the same who could be the basis for number two?

No they are all friends. And all of them are busy. I will still have jamming sessions with them but I will be moving onto a new band when I find one.

Maybe this time it will be a band that plays my style of music ?

Sorry to hear about the loss.

The only way to ensure that the band plays "your" music is to write your own stuff and get the guys who love what you do and want to be part of your project.

Sounds easy, but it ain't. However, it will be worth the time, effort and expense. Go for it!

Good luck. How do you find a drummer capable of double bass for metal styles anyway? I'm so glad I don't have worry about that.

Well I will have to look. I know of a few but they are all married and only play for fun :-\

man when i move take my bloody drummmer. he is the dumbest guy ever..........I told him this week, "chris.... we are taking your double bass away, because you always play it and it sounds Awful, it muds the song up"

Drummer grow very close to their bloody double bass....... anyhow in my band, with the current drummer, I have removed 3 unnessacary cymbals, 2 toms (one mounted one floor) and double bass. they just dont get it.....

As for drummers... i know a few BMU... very very good too.

Ha ha, I do agree. Although if a drummer wants to carry all that then good for him...
Thankfully my drummers are smarter and go for a minimalist approach.

your drummer soundsl ike a smart, mature fellow, sadly 90% of drummers i meet do not play for a song............. My master plan is to get a girl playing bass (called february) she will play 4 notes maximum and be about 5 feet tall, and use fuzz on her bass. And I will find a gay drummer, gay because I expect he will notshow off as much.........

So gay singers are flamboyant, but gay drummers are calm? Let me raise a possibility here. Just a thought. That maybe the gayness or not will not have the biggest influence on whether your band members' personalities suit you. I've met gay people who were total dicks, and gay people who are among the most humble, lovely people I've met... just like everyone else.

I'm not trying to bust your chops here, I'm just saying that a positive stereotype is still a stereotype ("Black people are so rhythmic!") that pigeon-holes people. That's never a good thing.
