Ah man, sounds like an awesome radio station.. ?
Is there a reason why they don't broadcoast nationwide?
It is..
It is a little radio station run by the University of Pretoria, so that is their target, local Pretoria and you still pick it up a few km outside Pretoria... I don't think they have the money or the rights or the interest to broadcast nationally.
One of my friends work there, I'm constantly bugging him to play this or that or get certain stuff on their playlist.
They can't go any bigger because of ICASA and it's bureaucracy, and the money involved in getting those rights. I can't even begin to tell you the amount of admin they have to go through every year just to make sure they keep the current license they have.
