hi guys.

How much am i looking at buying a Roland cube 30 for. I see Marshall music has only got the Roland Cube 15 on there website and going for R1195. I have never heard a cube before but all the reviews are good about them. Looking at getting one next weekend. I also see the Marshall MG15DFX combo is going for R1650. The line6 spider 3 also goes for about the same price. quiet hard to choose

Its about R2000 for a 30. Remember to buy the 30x, it's got a extra amp model "dyna amp" the harder u pick, the more gain it produces. And the 30x's got a buildin tuner. Its really one of the best Solidstate amps u can buy, and is really easy to get awesome tone... Go 2 toms in Joburg, they're the agent for boss and Roland products in the Country, youll get it the cheapest there... Injoi

      +1 to Reinhardt !
Don't bother with the MG's - they don't sound like Marshalls at all !
Another GREAT one which I even prefer to the Roland is a Vox Valvetronix 30 watt combo - louder and warmer-toned than the Roland, with optional footswitch for channel changing - killer deal !

It's a split agancy. Bothners is the Agents in the Cape town and surrounding area's...

I have both the cube amp and the vox. I have the micro cube and the AD100vt. The vox is warmer and the effects are easier to get exactly what you want. The only problem I've found is that it is too muddy on the distortion. But both amp are good and have different purposes. Liten to both and chose the one you like most....

I couldn't choose, so I got both. lol
I’m also looking at buying the Roland Cube Guitar & Bass amp. I think for its price it an awesome amp.
Have anybody played a Tele trough it before? Would like to know if it sounds any good?
I have a real problem with guitar amps that have built in effects.

            Consider this:
Many of the gigs I do have backline (i.e. amps) supplied. If I used an amp like the Roland Cube this means that I'd have to lug my amp to EVERY gig!
Flying on planes with an amp means paying overweight baggage charges.

I find using a multi-FX (or pedals) a much more logical option. It may be more expensive buying an amp and separate pedal, but in the long run it's a lot more flexible.

            Just my 2cents! ?
