Jo-Gcb Yup, me again. Pretty much the same story as the previous post. I'm also looking for a new distortion (I'm currently using the VisualSound Jekyll & Hyde) The two narrowed down options are: 1. Homebrew Electronics Big D Distortion 2. ZVex Vexter Box of Rock Distortion (The normal one is just way too expensive!! Don't mind not having the custom paint job ?) Both are sounding pretty awesome and the prices are basically the same.
Vick Have you check out the catalinbread dirty little secret? Its,IMO,a better pedal then the box of rock... O and also check out the Fulltone OCD...
MIKA-the-better-one Ile vouch for my DLS.... its great....... hands down great......I took all other drive off my board, because this thing covers it ll better The ocd is great to... really cool Or the freakshow effects brown rabbit Or the crowther hotcake (very cool) Or the Earthquaker devices Chrysalis (its meant to gove you the drive of an old 70s rock amp) ? They all are along the lines of the svex box of rock But better in my opinion, ever since Qotsa had there little feud with zvex I decided there were better prducts out there ?

MIKA-the-better-one well it wasa while back...... i think rated r............. and they had there signature sound dimed, using a zvex super hard on........... they were pretty stoked about the sound, and then the pedal stopped working... they phoned zvex to see whats up............ he said "yeh I have a mod to stop the transistors blowing up, cuz it seems all the pedals without the mod blow up......... " Then my zvex wanted them to purchase a new pedal modded, however it sounded nothing like the original ☹ so they lost there sound.............. I saw it on a interview somewhere, Ile try find it for you ?
