Yes. He is playing. But I'm not allowed to publicly admit that he's my son! Black Metal lead guitarists were spawned in a swamp somewhere as we all know. ?

I really don't want to cramp his style. He has completely forgotten I exist They are in such an adrenalin zone and so excited - so much to do ... corpse paint to buy, guitar strings, beer, food, clothes to sort out, practising like maniacs, running around like headless chickens. But I think its worth it. When they step out onto that stage - wow what a rush! Even if it's only once in a lifetime - but who knows. Maybe there'll be a lone, stray Black metal music promoter who is looking for IT ... here in South Africa.

Their music is pretty cool I must say. I just feel so sorry for the poor drummer... he has to work about triple as hard as everybody else (from the tracks I've heard)

I'm not even invited - as I have to dog sit. But I was really looking forward to dressing in Black and falling about in the moshpit. Bummer.

I first read that as Information Technology, but then they'd be looking in the wrong place. Regardless of what happens afterwards it's still a huge achievement to pull off a gig like that, you must be proud. There's tons of ways to disguise yourself if you did want to go, he wouldn't even know you were there.

Thanks Viccy - I think you understand. Ya it really is something. There is such a small following for this music. But these guys have such a passion and a drive to play it. It takes high levels of skill and then there's not much material reward for it. So I'm just as excited as they are! Ja and an IT engineer is something different for an 'IT' searcher! ?
