We have decided to change the challenge rules a bit to give you guys more time to get your entries together and less time to wait to see who is the shissle. You now have 10 days to get your entry in for this challenge that would be by Wed 1st at 8pm voting will be from Thur 2nd to Sun 5th. Oh yes and hear hair here is the next challenge from Don.

This week I want to test the emotive skills. I am going to give a scene and music must be made for that.
The scene focuses on two elements and they come together in the end.
An old lady is crossing the street, innocently. then we switch to a car speeding toward her. Then BACK to the old lady and then the car again. The last section I want to portray is the old woman driving off in the car at high speed.

Think of it as creating music for a piece of video, picture it, imagine it and make the music to match. The mixing of something innocent and tense.

I'm actually pretty keen on this.. I have NO clue how i'm going to do this, but don, this is actually a fun challenge!

Well Pete you have 4 more days to record something.

I reckon this will get some different cogs turning in your head. This one isn't about how you can play, it's about how you can create, especially around specific criteria. Think of it as practice for writing movie score.

I know, I know, but I'm too focused on the show score at the moment - gotta get my chops up because with shows everything has to be crystal clean technique-wise - you're not playing to a bunch of drunks who might forgive you the odd screw-up.

From 2nd Sept through to 11th at the Westville Civic Centre. Not on Sundays, nor the one Monday. This is an amateur production but this doesn't mean that I can relax - must be at my best whatever the gig.
