Hi,
I have been playing for a year now and still have a cheap nylon string guitar. I am looking for a good value guitar between R2000-R3000. It must be an Electric Acoustic and when unplugged the sound must still be loud and clear.
I don't really know of any good brands and so on. Please Help me!

Don't let any brand-wh*res influence you. Tips I can give because I have tried and tested them are:
1 - Buy used, epsecially when on a budget like you are.
2 - You could get lucky and pick up a deal on a used "big brand" but probably lower end guitar, or you could be surprised by a less popular brand guitar.
The secret is, try every guitar you can get your hands on which is within your budget and select the one that feels and sounds the way you like.
I recently ended up buying a guitar I walked past probably three times thinking "looks nice"... when I picked it up it was like magic and I knew it was the sound and feel I wanted.
Hope you find the same!
Cheers

ye um you can get some pretty awesome second hand deals if you look around for anything, check gumtree or the classifieds here...
i'm no expert but maybe a mid range second hand ibanez/takamine or something will fit in your budget? i dunno, i love with my friends takamine though, best acoustic i've played and he got it for a great deal second hand ?

Looks like this may be Yamaha FG range. I have two fg's - 750 and 730. Buy it!

You don't say if you want nylon or steel strings.
I'll second the recommendation to buy a good 2nd hand instrument, you can get much more bang per buck that way.
In the meantime start visiting some real world shops. Try some guitars out. Try got an idea of how the different models stack up.
There are some advantages to buying from a store. If it's new you'll have some kind of warranty, and they might offer a setup as part of the deal.
