'80s Boss collection

kayDUB

Thought I'd post my old Boss collection I've gradually put together over the years...
Anyone else have any of these old monsters?

Also, does anyone know where I can get a replacement Boss style knob and a footswitch spring?

Boss PH 1r - acquired recently, great warm phaser! (IMO better than the PH2 I used to have)
Boss OD 1 - classic overdrive, eats pretty much all your bass but really helps you stand out in the mix - solos!
Boss CS 2 - never had another compressor, but this seems pretty "transparent" (cliche) to my ears.
Boss CS 2 - another one - just in case! hehe, going to use this with my strat (when I get it ? ) and the other with my les paul; allows me to use a different setting for each guitar easily.
Boss CE 2 - haven't used this in a while...

I have a knob I can post you. Had a phaser pedal, just like the one you have actually and then one day it just went dead, well, not dead, just didn't phase anymore. ? So I'll happily send you that. PM your postal address. I'll have to go to my parents house and find that pedal though, so will be a week or so! ?

Very cool collection!

Would you be willing to part with it at some stage?

Awesome Paul, pm sent!

G-Man, probably not, but that being said you never know with gear ? I've always had my eye on the MXR stereo chorus, but never had the cash when one came up for a good price.
I actually want to bring a chorus onto my board again. I'll keep you in mind tho, and also will let you know if I happen upon one during some Gumtree surfing!

Great, thanks ?

I'm not sure if it's the constant shape and the different colours, but a group of Boss pedals looks rather cool.

You should be able to get a knob like that from Mantech in Epping.

I also have a CS-2

FruitarGeek

Got myself one of these the other day

Would be cool if you can find a DD-2, DM-2, OC-2, etc. That would make for an awesome collection.

I found and bought a Boss CH-1 on gumtree a month or 2 back for R300 so I'm sorted ?

+1 on the OD-1. Still have one on my board. Next to a Jackhammer and in collaboration with the two drive channels on my amp. Every now and then I just get back to it for little bit of slowish lead stuff and as you say, no bass, but very smooth. An acquired taste I'd say.
