Hi guys.
I love financial year end...we get performance bonus's for good work and I know Iam getting a good one.
Ive already decided how Iam gonna spend it ....just not on what.
Spent the w/e up in Jhb hanging out with Spyke and played his Epiphone Gibson and did an impromptu recording session.I really liked the feel and play of theis particular instrument. Were can get one of these and how much do they cost.I play a mixture of styles from jazz and blues to grunge and rock I do alot of rythm stuff not alot of shredding. My last electric was a Fender Bullet but alas a balaclava clad thief helped himself.
But its about time I replaced so.....any ideas are welcome.Whatcould I get for about 3 grand thats in the same league?
Any body here selling?

The epiphone les paul would be a wise choice.
You can get for about R4000 at any guitar shop in joburg.
The best way would be to find out the model name that you want, and go to all the guitar shops in your area to get a quote, compare all the quotes, and go back to the cheapest one, and demand for some extra stuff at the same price you'll pay for the guitar, basically get some accesories for free.(Strings, case)
I know it is stingy. ?

Last time I checked guys there was no local importing agent for Epiphone & Gibson,
ie any of the above you see in shops are "last scraps" stock - next closest is the ESP LTD's and Yamaha's AES range

I'll keep looking till i find "the one"
Going shopping this weekend at Bothners and Musicfest SA see what they have in stock.
Would you recommend any other stores I should visit in the Cape Area?

I dont know about jburg, but cape town still has a lot of epiphones.
Try paul bothners in goodwood N1 city, MArshall music, Music Mate in brackenfell.
Dont go to musiek wereld, they are crazy with there prizes.
In what area in cape town do you live?

I couldn't find many Epiphones a while back when I was looking, and strangely enough I always got decent prices at Musiek Wereld.

Try out the Epiphone Dot if you like a versatile guitar that does Jazz and Blues well.
