Is this a good beginner accoustic?

I see Tuerk is selling this on special and I want to buy my dad a guitar so he can learn along with me.

IF they're R500 then I'm going to buy a whole lot, strip the electronics out and throw the rest away.

You don't have to be a crazy fool like me and buy expensive acoustics, but you only go so cheap before you run into real problems. So don't set your heart on buying a decent new acoustic for this kind of money.

if this axe is really priced at R500 then ask why. Maybe they have a badly dinged demo model. Might play perfectly well but be too blemished to sell for full price. In which case lucky you.

It's not REALLY an acoustic, more like a thin-line semi-acoustic. The unplugged tone may not be what you're looking for.

Go to the shop and try it. If it really is going for R500 then ask why that is.

mmmm also checked it out and just the lr baggs and kent armstrong pickups are worth way more than R500

if they really R500 and they have more than one ....let me know i'll buy one too......... i'm serious ..pm with details of the store as in number i'll definitely check it out

Then it seems like a good deal. And I was serious about the electronics - the guitar is well appointed in that regard.

Just check it out in flesh. It's a semi-acoustic really, and the noise it makes unplugged may not be what you require.

hi i think the model number is wrong for the one you say sells at 1300 and is reduced cos ............ i just phoned them re the guitar in the link you posted the SAT-M.BLu they have one in silver not blu but want 2995 for it marked down from 4995 ...thats the one with the kent armstrong pickup ect ect ......... which looks like a great guitar for jazz .. thats why i'd be interested ..and at 500 it woulda been a steal.............. but at 3K not such a good deal but still nice............. but no longer interested

And i went onto the official website... Thats the only Crafter SAT-M guitar and whats strange is the fact that the official website also only has Blue and Silver...

Ok just contacted them as I forgot my Dad's bday and thus wanted to get something quick!

Keira... these SA T M's were the R5000 versions with the pick ups etc... but the bloody staff bought all the stock at R500 a pop!
