HI,

Any ideas what these two guitars are worth.

Ibanez Blazer Custom (Made in Japan), not sure of year. Guy wants R4500

Yamaha Les Paul 1960 Guy wants R15000

Oh and i'll be hanging out here alot, cool forum. Good to finally find some fellow SA guitarist. Nice to meet you all. ?

Not sure if they are worth what he is asking, especially locally. Blazers were decent Strat knockoffs, many with humbuckers. Not really collectable. Not really remarkable, but well made.

The Yamaha - Rare, but not collectable. There's one on E-bay for GBP475. The Ibanez knockoffs from the '60s were closer.

If you are looking for players, I think you can do better for your money than either of these.

Oh i spoke to the guy with the Yamaha Les Paul 1960, he says he is willing to let it go for R8000. This is what he paid for it. I guess he is battling to sell it, and just wants his money back.

I wont be taking it,even at that price, but interesting nonetheless to see the quality of those old guitars.
