What do you think of the PRS SE custom Semi Hollow?

A guitarist pitched up with one at the studio, it plays very nicely, and the prices on the internet are not to bad as well.

Haven't had time to test it in my amp yet, will try it out in the next 2 weeks.

Has anyone ever played one of these?

I have never owned a semi hollow guitar, so i dont know what to exspect running it through an amp, will there be feedback with high gain stuff? (not that high gain, think along side the route of marshall high gain)

I will call around and see where i can find one, i wanna look for one in "Tobacco sunburst"

Nope, not tried it. But it sounds great in the demo. Just the kind of sound I like - a little like my Gibson 330.

I get feedback at high gain on my Gibby but I've learned to work around it and even use it to my advantage.

Thanks petem

Lucky a friend got one, so will test it out on all the amps in the studio, but that would only be in 2 weeks, so i have to wait for that..........

Played one acoustic in the shop. It seemed well made and quite loud. I was a little disappointed though. It didn't exert the GAS in reality that it did in pictures. But maybe that's just me and PRS. I think they just feel weird to me.

A dud that I get lessons with has one, sound really nice and warm, full,I think it could be a real tone monster with a pickup swap(like most prs SE guitars I guess),and plays nice...good built quality to ?
I think I saw one at marshall muisic woodmead?

I went and got some prices today from some of the main stores in cape town, but their logistics dont seem to add up.

the SE custom 22 that is supposed to be the more expensive model is cheaper than the semi hollow?
