Guitar lessons in Lone Hill JHB - Discover your own style!
Billy-Thomason
Hi, my name is Billy. I’m good at teaching people how to play the guitar.I've been playing for 8 years and I teach a variety of styles. My main goal is to get students to freestyle by teaching them the techniques and theories behind their favourite songs. This enables students to create their own original music as soon as possible. I have developed a Revolutionary guitar training method which involves some colour therapy and association. The 1 hour lessons consist of theory, practice exercises, music studies (genres and bands and music history), finger stretching exercises and ear training. I have no fixed syllabus and I try to teach students what they want to learn. Poetry and art are sometimes used as metaphors for music. I believe that technique, meditation and proper breathing are very important for developing musical ability. I also like to teach a bit of percussion on Djembe drums as it fosters understanding of rythm and music as a whole. I am based in Lone Hill in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg. The cost is R120 per lesson. Call Billy on 079 517 3274 or email: hillbillyt@gmail.com
