I have re read alan's book a couple of times and gone real slow over the techie guitar stuff and started messing around ..lately i have been doing all my own guitar maintenance ,action, intonation etc ..so damn simple if you take the time to figure it out. The books spells it out quite clearly and the trick is to adjust ,test , adjust ,test ad nauseum. Can completely alter the tone/playbility of your guitar this way. plus if you know how to do it you save dinero...
i recommend the book whole heartedly.
