So
My DD3 has died, the autopsy shows no reasons why.
So that leaves me with a chassis now. What should I do with it?
There are 3 things I could possibly do with my DD3
1) Go to Bothners and ask them to send it to BOSS to fix, but I know its gonna cost me more than what I bought it for (I have a sneaky suspicion the DD-3 is gonna become a collectable soon)
2) Use the chassis and turn it into something awesome
3) Put it in the corner as a mantlepiece and tell my children one day, " I used to own a DD-3"
Although I like option 1 or 2 better. So for those banking on option 2, what do you think I should do with it, and how? I am no techi and have no idea on schematics and diagrams etc. My theory of electricy is as good as what my matric taught me, which wasnt that great. Who should I send it to, and will it cost me an arm or 2?

Bothner's have a Roland authorized workshop. However, AFAIK with DD3s it's usually the delay chip which is apparently difficult to get these days and even if they have, labour makes fixing it quite expensive. They make cool paperweights. ?
