Is there an easier way to store guitars? I have everything stashed in a corner with the most used out of the case.

Lucky I don't have enough guitars for that to be a problem. If I had a music room, above is what I would get..

Surely its not wise to leave guitars exposed out in the open for that long?

Won't the strings rust easier, and it gets more dustier and rustier etc?

Mine hang out in the open on wall hooks. Quick access to play 'em (and I do play most of 'em fairly regularly, aside from the steel string) and a quick wipe down once a week or so.

i have my guitars on wall hooks ..works great and they are out of the way...easy to grab and easy to put back..also keeps them out of the way of my 2 year old

I'm not super wild about wall hooks, and I'd want the guitars enclosed - but accessible. I'd like one of those multi-guitar racks but with some kind of robust cover that would both bar any dust or too much moisture getting in and can also be removed in an instant. Maybe a bit of a tough ask.

As it is I'm leaving my Pacifica on a stand (which I don't like but it's a robust, strat-type guitar) and leaving all others in their cases - which does mean that I play the Pacifica more than the others. I'm not thrilled with that sitch.

My headless bass is on a floorstand and it's forever being played by the whip my ridgeback calls a tail as well as being subjected to vacuum cleaner abuse by the domestic. With toddlers around, floorstands become a nightmare.

Same here, except for the quick wipe down once a week... :-[...I tend to neglect that a bit.

I built myself a 7 guitar floorstand because I couldn't find one for sale. Two lengths of pine cleats, some screws and brackets, two broomsticks, plastic curtain rail holder thingies and some pipe insulation like the fridge techs use. Aaaand then I Aerolac-ed it grey.? Cost me about 400 bucks, some elbow grease and a lot of swearing? It looks like a cheaply made wooden thing built by a deranged loon, but I kinda like it actually. Will try and post pics tomorow. And yes the guits are exposed on a floorstand, but, whilst I will never intentionally harm any of them, I dont mind the odd chip or bump. Adds character.

Hey. Does anyone today remember that Zakk Wylde originally also had an LP standard with the same rings as the custom, but in red and yellow? As opposed to the custom in black and white? Also, it's vaguely interesting that he apparently wanted the guy to do the rings increasing in girth away from the centre - like out of some '60s sci fi wormhole. But the guy missed the brief and hence the even circles.

This is the stand in it's full, flawed glory. :-[

Here you can see the broomsticks covered in pipe insulation forming the base.

For the top Stoppers I used those curtain rail type clips and again covered them in insulation

My accoustic guitars share a more conventional tripple stand

I have been searching for quite a while for one of these, or similar, no luck. If anyone knows where one can find them, please let us know.

I keep all my guitars in their cases, only take them out to play.
