Tiglitar (Squire Rebuild)

Hi All,

I recently bought a squire to do a rebuild on. I learnt quite alot and had a really good time doing this. The below is a summary of what I have done (kinda before and after shots) I have put a page with more details here http://www.dtsl.co.za/tcg.aspx, just in case anyone might learn something from my novice/beginner level. I know I learnt alot from alot of peoples blogs etc.

It was my first shot, I am quite happy with it. I think my main problem was my lack of patience (plans are in motion for the second one and I am busy stashing patience away for it...), its just so hard leaving it alone to dry.....

Anyways, let me know what you think

It was very experimental.

Well, I first need to raise some cash so I am putting my Ibanez RG7321 up for sale to fund the next one. This one I will spend more time and more cash on. I would like to attempt something along the lines of the shelby gt strat kind of finish

The second one will be for my eldest son (4 years old), I asked him what colour he wants it and his response was spiderman...., but I dont think thats going to happen.

I would like the second one to stay SSS configuration though.

Kinda strange, a while back i thought to myself, one day ima gona paint a guitar with my name on the body...not only did u beat me, you used my name!!!lol

Silly question - why don't you cut off the excess bits from the strings?

Thanks! I quite like having a name on a guitar, it also means it probably wont be sold any time soon when the cash gets tight...

I had just put new strings on and probably should have taken the photo after I cut the strings :-[...
