Yeah Telkom are more than a little behind the curve as usual. We been known to do five Gig in a day with Afrihost uncapped (4096K @ R497 p.m.).

The only thing im going to miss about my job (which i walked out of on Thursday) will be our 10MB Fibre -> Data Centre -> 128mb International line.

We downloaded 5Gb in 5-10 minutes, depending on network usage....

What speeds are the Telkom lines?

I am not too impressed with Neotel so far

Maximum is 4096 at the moment, although they are testing 8192 in some areas. 4096 needs a special circuit in the exchange, so Telkom charges you more too - you have to factor that into your pricing.

MWeb didnt work well for me at all ☹.......maybe my area .

Telkom works just fine for me where I live . Never had a single problem since the first day...........yay !! ?

This is not quite right. I'm with MWeb and have the fastest speed - 4096Mb. and don't want to change that.

This costs R500 and something pm for 3 gig pm. I generally buy a R100 booster of 1 gig.

To go uncapped is not R219 - it is the hire of your line from Telkom - R500 and something - PLUS R219 which then becomes R800 and something.

So its R800 and something to have uncapped 4096mb with MWEB. Thats now.

I wish this business of ADSL was just more transparent. I wish it was free actually come to think of it. That would make things a lot simpler!

linds, I know that... was just saying the DSL Subscription is 219 for a 384 line.

4Mb is substantially more expensive of course.

Line Rental, ADSL ISP and ADSL line rental are the prices to factor in.
