WEIRD dreams

OK I don't think anyone can have weirder dreams than I do...

Here is what I dreamt last night:

Some biologists travel to South Africa and find a new variant of the Red Roman spider (http://www.biodiversityexplorer.org/arachnids/solifugids/):
This variant has plenty of antennae (Yes I KNOW, I am losing it) on it's head with which it makes it's prey LEVITATE (I know right??). So when it has it's prey suspended in the air, it will bite it, let it go, and chase down the weakened pray....

Is there any medication for this type of madness?

Nope, just a little helpless, levitating dung beetle like insect and a freaking spider with wiggling antennae....

OK, so the spider goes up in the air and then the dung beetle bites it. No, the dung beetle goes up and the spider bites it and then lets it go and chases it. Now, when the spider lets the beetle go, does the beetle drop to the floor and run or does the spider chase it in the air? That's all that I can see that's a bit out of the ordinary here because I dont believe that dung beetles can fly hey. Maybe for short distances but not after they're bitten.

Beetle drops to ground, runs groggily, spider follows and chows it (well the chowing part was not in the dream, but I'd have to assume that is what the spider did unless jack flash is right and they ended up being amorous.)

@Tom: It could be the pancreas again, I don't know yet.

If there is a sequel (I doubt it though), I will update this thread.

For those who are worried...I am pretty certain this type of madness is not contagious as my wife is still normal after a year of marriage.

I sometimes open my eyes in the morning to my wife laughing at me and when when I am finally conscious enough to ask her what's up she'll just say
"You are so funny"... So I am hoping I don't do weird things in my sleep.

I should add that the first time she sat bolt upright, said "postmodernism is bulls*&t" and then fell back asleep....

It was full moon last night ! Don't laugh,it does make a difference to many people ! The latest theory I've read is that certain parasites are more active during the full moon which upsets the host which would be me ??? I'm not sure where the pancreas reference comes in, but get checked out for parasites if it's a serious reference. I'm struggling to get rid of liver fluke which I'm sure is causing my problems.

I know those dreams though ! I recently dreamt I had become a gazillionaire after breeding a type of cat used to test HIV status. If a HIV+ positive person pee'd on the cat it would burst into flames for a few seconds ! ? When the flames went out, the cat would be fine and reausable ? before I get shouted at ! No cats were hurt in my dream ! :-[

I don't dream often (Or that I can remember) but this was one of my weirder ones.

Everything is black and white in this specific dream. I am standing in an abandoned building - the walls stand but no windows or roof. An old man, possibly in his 70's stands in front of me on a dusty floor. He is short, about 5'. He has some tattoos, the green faded type you get in prison. When looking at him you get the feel that he is a circus performer. Everything is absolutely silent and I cannot move - I have a spiritual awareness of being, not a physical one in that I am not aware of having a body. The old man starts to do something very strange - he begins to move within his own skin. I can see his hands moving as he begins to contract his skeleton towards his chest, his skin seeming detached from his flesh and bone somehow. I can see the bones of his fingers move across his sternum leaving behind the limp skin that once covered his arm. He slightly stretches out the skin over his chest and draws his head down. I can see the shape of his skull moving lower and lower under the thin skin. I follow the movements very closely while he seems so be mouthing something with his jaw. Then, right there in front of me, he suffocates, slowly and in complete silence. I cannot move to help him but I also have no desire to move. I just stand there, mesmerized. He collapses onto the floor and dies.

Then I wake up.

Hmmm, I wonder if I should tell this bedtime story to my kids one day?

aja, it's a pity you don't remember all your dreams, you could become a screenplay writer, all you'd need to do is sleep. Sounds like a good job to me.

I am constantly having weird dreams. The most disturbing one this week was a very VERY lifelike experience of being bombed. I was watching the bombs falling down at a safe distance, making orange streaks in the clouds and then suddenly one fell close to us. It was so real, down to the ringing of my ears. My brother ran outside and a helicopter came down and shot him in the back while he was cowering and I realized I had to hide (and that my whole family was probably dead too). My boyfriend and I escaped into a building next door where other injured people were hiding. For some reason I thought it was China bombing us.

It's all stress hey! Last week I dreamt I was a tepee. Then this past Sunday I dreamt I was a wigwam. So I went to the doc yesterday and he said I'm two tents.
