I currently only have a beginner acoustic that I've used to play mic'ed up and it never sounded as good as when I played my friends Tanglewood or Takamine(drool).
I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for decent a decent acoustic with a pickup at a decent price(second hand is fine by me too).
Thanks ?

There are always some good buys on Gumtree. So keep an eye out for a gem!
I have always liked the Ibanez or Cort acoustics.

I concur - find a solid top cort that you like. They are really great value for money. 8)

Me, I've got Cort and some Yamaha FG's. You will always want more I guess. But I am a bit of a Yamaha fan hey and so I prefer them. Why dont you check some reviews like on musicradar or somewhere?

You cold always add a pickup to your existing acoustic guitar. If you take something like a Baggs Active Element you can remove that at a later stage without leaving major scars and move the electronics to another instrument.
