It's been a hectic holiday time for me but I thought I should post an update on the Pinecaster. Played with it on a few recordings, studio and demo's, and I love the tone of this thing. Still fine-tuning it but I have to say these Keystone pickups really get my approval. I find the bridge a little bit too thin for my tastes, but I understand that's vintage tele and it actually has some really awesome bite. Middle position is my favourite - chime galore. Looking at getting a Zhang Paul Bunyan bridge in there, seems almost too good to be true. ?

The oil finish feels fantastic, and it's relicing nicely - plus with the thin nitro on the neck, it should age 5 times faster than normal. For me that's a good thing. ?
Here's 2 pics from a demo recording session
Right now, I have to drop the neck a little bit by deepening the neck pocket, and I want to make a nice headstock logo. What do you guys think? Here's a mockup.
