Thanks for the info on wood. I've also searched the forums and it seems that while there are local suppliers, it's hit and miss to find quality (plus I have no idea where to even start judging the acoustic properties or whatever of wood).
I’ve done a fair bit of reading online and it seems to me that if you’re not planning on building a couple of guitars that it might not be worth it. Even though you don’t really need power tools, the amount of hand tools and other stuff (clamps, jigs, forms, etc.) that you need to buy/make makes me think twice about just going into this willy nilly.
I think I need to buy the book that the guy talks about in his blog and take it from there...
