FatBoy Thanks a lot all. I sure am glad we only celebrate birthdays once a year, my liver would not be able to cope!
bloukie Always a pleasure to congratulate a blues man from my home town, Fritz. May God grant you a special year in shade of the Tygerberg hills. Could it be that D'ville is rapidly becoming the most unlikely capitol of the blues in Cape Town if not the RSA itself? Like to hear your thoughts on that if you get a chance.... Groente
FatBoy Hey thanks man! I've also been picking up a rapid growth in Blues gigs and fans around these parts. I know a few venue owners that are huge blues lovers and I think they are providing a great platform for artists around here. Mike Crawford of Bloemendal is doing lots of blues promoting, Jurg from Die Boer is also doing some blues promoting, Gustav at Plaasteater has a lekke platform there as well. Good place to live in for a blues lover!
