Your Pedalboard!!!

Hi guys just wanted to start this thread so that everyone can see each others pedalboard. So here is mine pretty simple just a Boss ME-50 & i am going 2 buy myself a digitech hot head & some other pedals. So guyz start posting pics of your pedalboard. I dont have a photo of my board yet so just got some photos of the pedals off the net.

We like your thread a lot! But as much as it is about pedalboard pics, the pedals themselves lead to these discussions which ultimately benefit everyone.

At least it seems like we're on the same page (1/2 Gainer and Okko). Just a thought, but can't you run your Liverpool hotter, controlling gain from the guitar and with a single drive pedal up front for the extra goodies? Very retro, I know, but it's a solution that often works the best... ?

On the contrary, Give it a couple of months and all the pedalboards posted will likely have changed enough to require new photos and the process starts anew. ?

I always ran my amps that way - which is what got me into VOX amps in the first place because they're really good at that edge of clean/ breakup sound. The thing is, at the moment I do use a very spitty gated fuzz tone on a number of songs and I've found that works best into a clean amp (or clean Liverpool in this case), otherwise the sound can get a bit bloated and mushy. Thus, I am constrained by that. Also, the Liverpool doesn't sound as authentic overdriven as it does clean and since I'm used to real AC30s, I don't really like the overdriven tones.

Then surely all you need (HA! I said "All") is a second Liverpool (or a Blonde) and an A/B loop switch. A programmable looper pedal would be even better.

Pedalboard real estate is the problem! ? It was a really tough decision between the Liverpool and Blonde, but the Liverpool won out because all my other pedals were geared towards the VOX sound. Have you seen the Burgerman Youtube demos of the Blonde with a pedalboard? That very nearly pushed me the towards the Blonde. :-\

Well finally I got a picture of my board! I haven't posted a pic of my board since I started this thread!! So this morning I decided that it was time to get off my lazy ass(its holidays :-[) and take some photos.......so enjoy!! ?!!

Well the signal chain is like this GOTH FLYING V -> KORG PITCHBLACK-> EHX POCKET METAL MUFF-> BOSS HEAVY METAL-> EHX LITTLE BIG MUFF-> EHX NANO SMALL STONE-> EHX MEMORY BOY-> AMP
Oh and BTW it's all powered by my Dunlop DC Brick ?

MY TRUSTY JIM DUNLOP DC BRICK (Mann I love that bright blue LED 8))

I've seen Burg's review/demo of just the pedal and that was what tipped me to give it a try. It seems to be the most usable and flexible model in the range. I'll search for the pedalboard clips now...

The higher gain tones or the crunchy, just past breakup tones. I only really need the latter, using the overdrive if I need more. But I'm hoping the Blonde will do that - the character knob looks like a very useful tone shaper (now if I could have the VOX speaker sim on the Blonde - essentially recreating my Twin - I'd be happy as a clam).

Just watched this and it confirms I've made the right choice with the Blonde. However, now I have to add a Durham Sex Drive to my list - when he kicked that pedal on, it grabbed my attention away from everything else I was doing and I rewound to pay more attention.

Don't know why I felt the need to contradict myself. ??? Apologies. :-[

More the higher gain tones which I find too tight, without the looser, spongier bottom end of a real AC30. Also, there's far more gain than there should be and it loses the sparkle and chime on the unwound strings. At high gain I don't think it sounds much like an AC30, boosted or not. The just past breakup tones on the Liverpool are pretty good and pretty close with lots of chime, but perhaps not having quite the touch sensitivity of the real thing (can't rightly remember on this aspect).

I'll give it a go at those edge of breakup sort of settings at home and refresh my memory on it tonight.

Yup, it made it a hard decision for me. Those videos are both really good. And that Sex Drive has been on my radar as well. Partly thanks to that video. ?

So , a clean--out of unwanted "stuff" was done and replaced with this new board........ (V.9.) :-\

25mm laminated Pine shelving with black car speaker enclosure-type covering , with 4 x std door stops to raise front of board.

Since I'm ever so slightly top-heavy... ? , lol. :-[ , it's easier for me to 'tap-dance' on a single row , rather than 2 rows of pedals.

Korg Pitchblack > Crybaby 95Q > Barber 1/2 Gainer > Boss BD-2 Blues Driver > Blackstar Dual > T-Rex Reptile 2 Tap Tempo Delay > EH Nano LPB-1 Boost .

True, but you also don't want a board where you have to run to get from one end to the other. ?

Boss BD-2 ...'a bit more' dirt setting... way underated OD pedal ...imo.

Couldn't agree more. Monte Allums does a few nice upgrade kits for them too.

I reckon I'm sorted.....for now :-\ ?

Most boards are +- 600mm wide , mine is 880 mm wide.....not really an issue for me ...barely noticeable in realtime use.

Nice board. I wish mine were so compact and simple. Alas, I tried to simplify and failed. I do manage to get quite a few pedals in a small case though. ?

The BB Preamp is a cool pedal. My bassist has one he uses when he plays guitar. I tried it and was quite impressed. Great pedal.

Simple and Compact was my aim.... I decided tap dancing was not my thing.... So now mostly I use the amp overdrive (by cranking it) and occasionally hitting fuzz, or reverb.
I only use delays on specific events, and I find they sound great with my Jet City amp, as opposed to my Carmen Ghia which is great with fuzz.

I really like the fact I can just grab this tiny board and go wherever... and not be intimidated by it. But now I have to fit a damn ABY box on it ☹
