Just to put this out there, my recording was super rushed (posted my entry like 4 mins before the deadline ?) so there are few little screw ups and the recording isn't the greatest :\

Well done guys Both are a 10 fold improvement on the original which begs the question why don't Politicians let real composers and musicians write national anthems like Austria did... Oh of course I forgot politicians are tards with their brains kicked out.

Hard choice. I went with Donovan's because it was more "anthemic." Also, I loved the trail off at the end. But 21Fretter's was beautifully played and was more original.

Still, Donovan's gave me a stir in the five or six patriotic, nationalistic cells I possess. And that's what anthems are all about.

I believe that our Anthem (both sections) was composed by real musicians/composers....info here

.. And I might add that our Anthem is very beautiful/catchy compared to many others...

Thanks all of those who voted, Norio for the prize and South Africa for the cool tune.

I never commented thus far cos I didn't want to influence the voting either way. I was going to go for the Hendrix approach but thought it way too cheesy. I then started messing aboot with the melody and discovered that F# bass which tickled me enough to continue with it.

Well done Gavin, thanks for entering as well. I do hope you had as much fun as I did making this recording.
