Right, I had no idea he used Gretsces either. I knew about the Burns Marvin and the Strats.........

The only guy I knew in South Africa who used the Country Gentleman, was Steve Fataar of the Flames. And then a few years later, a group in CT, (originally also from Durban) called The Exotics, had one. (I personally did not like the guitar at the time, too bulky........but then I was never really a Chet Atkins fan. More into The Shadows, The Ventures, as far as Instrumental type bands were concerned, in those days.
I may be wrong, but I think George Harrison played a Gretsch at some time, not sure if it was a CG though.
